UL 217/268 Smoke box

Equipment Function：

UL standard smoke box used to detect smoke alarm character such as sensitivity, directivity, equipment meet the requirements of UL 217 and UL 268, according to the standard specification requirements, with photoelectric sensors, used to detect the smoke in the smoke density, The original imported components ensure the accuracy and stability of the test. Imported DC power supply and fan for wind speed control, can adjust different wind speed, meet different wind speed test requirements. The equipment is equipped with the Zomtest Smoke box Test System to continuously monitor the Smoke concentration and Smoke rising rate, and record the alarm sensitivity value.

Aerosol generator: in addition to imported standard cotton wick, aerosol generator is configured as an optional smoke, automatic control, reduce the cost of consumables, high reproducibility, smoke rising rate controllable.

Constant smoke control: the function of constant smoke control can be realized after the aerosol generator is configured.

It consists of the following items:

1. Outer Cabinet: constructed of exterior grade plywood according to standards dimension
2. Inner compartment: constructed of plywood according to standards dimension
3. Circulating fan: low air speed and high air speed DC fans
4. Exhaust fan: DC fan
5. Photocell:  photocell or Zomtest optical meter
6. Lamp: as standard recommended
7. Data acquisition device: Computer with National Instruments DAQ card
8. Aerosol generator: special design aerosol generator that can adjust build up rate and particle size to meet the UL 217 and UL 268 test profile.
9. Software: Zon-test Smoke box software.

The smoke box can be used to perform initial sensitivity test, directionality test, velocity- sensitivity test and other stability test with auxiliary equipment.

Note: The UL 217 and UL 268 standard required Measuring Ionization Chamber (MIC) to be included to monitoring smoke particles size. The MIC is not included in quotation if no specified but the mounting port and data acquisition connection port are reserved.
